About the role
The Compliance Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining SpaceTrade's compliance framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
The role supports customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, compliance reporting, record keeping, staff awareness, and internal compliance reviews while coordinating compliance activities across internal teams and external legal counsel. The Compliance Officer will work closely with SpaceTrade’s external legal counsel by providing operational information, records and internal coordination required for legal and regulatory matters.
Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, Law or a related discipline;
- Minimun 3 years’ relevant experience in compliance, financial services, fintech, payments, digital assets or a related sector;
- Practical knowledge of customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and financial-crime prevention;
- A good understanding of cryptocurrency and digital-asset transactions;
- Experience maintaining compliance records, trackers and internal reports;
- Strong analytical, organisational and investigative skills; and
- The ability to work effectively with Management, operational teams and external advisers.
- Relevant professional certifications in compliance, risk management, AML or financial crime will be an advantage
