Wemy Industries Limited is seeking a mid-level
Modern Trade Manager to grow supermarket sales in Abuja. You will manage key supermarket accounts, strengthen relationships with buying and store teams, expand product listings, and deliver monthly revenue and account-growth targets.
Responsibilities
• Manage a sales pipeline and portfolio of supermarket and modern trade accounts across Abuja.
• Build productive relationships with supermarket buyers, category managers, store managers and purchasing teams.
• Identify opportunities for new product listings, wider store distribution, promotions and repeat orders.
• Prepare accurate quotations, negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities within approved guidelines.
• Conduct regular account visits to review stock availability, product visibility, customer feedback and sales performance.
• Deliver monthly sales, revenue, account-acquisition and distribution targets.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, opportunities and sales activity in the CRM or sales tracker.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support order fulfilment, resolve account issues and improve customer service.

Requirements

- • 3-5 years of sales or key account management experience, preferably in modern trade, FMCG, healthcare, pharmaceutical or retail sectors.
- • Demonstrated experience managing supermarket, retail chain or other institutional customer accounts.
- • Ability to prospect, qualify opportunities, negotiate commercial terms and close sales.
- • Strong account-management, relationship-building and customer-service skills.
- • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to buyers and decision-makers.
- • Ability to plan field visits, manage a sales pipeline and work independently toward targets.
- • Good commercial judgement and ability to interpret store-level customer needs, category opportunities and market activity.
